Responsibility - Responsibility over and above legal and regulatory requirements is more important than ever. We welcome heightened demands relating to health, the environment and social responsibility – they go hand in glove with Geovic Energy’s values.
Stakeholders – Each stakeholder in Geovic receives excellent communications, personal attention as needed, and company leadership in improving the value of their holdings. The Board is committed to taking steps to continuously improve its practices in the Corporate Responsibility (CR) area, and to embed CR issues into its corporate governance and operating framework.
Personnel - Each Geovic Energy co-worker is a unique individual, and differences in sex, age, origin and nationality are assets. Competent, dedicated co-workers are absolutely essential if we are to achieve our set goals both as a company and individuals. We feel responsible for our employees, and focus on the whole person. In all circumstances, a safe and healthy workplace is provided in accordance with relevant legislation. All employees are given the opportunity to learn and develop.
The Environment - Care for the environment is a guiding principle, and we are constantly striving to reduce our environmental impact. Climate change through development of nuclear fuels is a major thrust. One of Geovic Energy’s environmental goals is to reduce energy use, and thereby reduce carbon dioxide impact.
Society – The Geovic family of companies is proactively providing social and health programs for neighboring communities through GeoAid, Ltd., an effort sponsored and maintained by the company. We strive to achieve good relations and bring opportunities to the world around us.
