Weld County: Geovic's Colorado uranium prospects are in five trends in eastern Weld County: Keota, Buckingham, Sand Creek, Porter, and Grover. Major mineral and surface control positions have been obtained throughout the area with a specific focus on the Keota region.
Geovic is currently digging for the historical exploration data from previously interested parties to save our stakeholders from most of the cost of drilling new holes to establish underlying data for a future NI 43-101 report. Nearly two dozen previously established groundwater monitoring wells are currently in place in the Keota area. Information related to these wells is in hand, enhancing baseline data collection.
Geovic Energy continues to work with the local populace to establish favorable relationships and with the state of Colorado to monitor and shape forthcoming new mining regulations related to In Situ Reocovery.
